Challenge

The Problem

The application needed to consolidate events from multiple regional sources into one reliable platform while supporting cross-platform authentication, premium subscriptions, personalized notifications, advanced filtering, and seamless navigation across Android and iOS.

Our Approach

Built Live Music Local, a cross-platform mobile application that aggregates live music events into a single experience. Users can browse curated events, apply advanced filters, save favorites, receive personalized notifications, and subscribe to LiveMusic+ for premium features and an ad-free experience.

Architecture

System Design

The React Native application authenticates users through Firebase Authentication before retrieving event data from REST APIs backed by Firebase services. Firestore stores user preferences and application data, RevenueCat manages subscriptions and premium entitlements, while Firebase Cloud Messaging and Expo Notifications deliver personalized event alerts. Zustand manages client-side application state, and Expo EAS powers deployment and OTA updates.
